Liberal Hollywood celebrities feel blue, see red after Kavanaugh confirmation

A bevy of liberal celebrities lashed out after Supreme Court Brett M. Kavanaugh was sworn in Saturday following a historically tumultuous confirmation battle.

“What a terrible day in American history,” tweeted comedian Kathy Griffin.

“Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane called him “unfit for this job,” while actress Alyssa Milano declared, “People should be f–ing terrified and outraged. I sure am.”

Others vowed to seek revenge at the polls in November. Comedian Ellen DeGeneres said in a tweet to Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Justice Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were teenagers, that her testimony “wasn’t in vain.”

Meanwhile, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” mocked Senate Republicans in a cold opensketch showing them celebrating the 50-48 confirmation vote in a locker room.

“Everyone’s pumped, from white men over 60 to white men over 70,” said the cast member portraying Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, as portrayed by cast member Kate McKinnon, said protesters outside the Senate building “agree with us because they were shouting out ‘Me, too.’”

At the same time, SNL took a jab at Democrats, depicting Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as a sad sack who keeps losing to President Trump.

“The Democrats lost another one. It’s what we do now,” said the Schumer character.

One Hollywood celebrity cheering the Kavanaugh confirmation was actor James Woods, back on Twitter after being suspended last month.
