Explosive device found near George Soros’ home in Katonah, New York

A bomb was reportedly found Monday near George Soros’ home in New York state, though it did not explode.

According to a report in the New York Times, citing “a law enforcement official,” the incident occurred in Katonah, N.Y., a hamlet in an upscale area of Westchester County.

A bomb-squad team “proactively detonated” it, the official told The Times.

The Bedford Police Department and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety confirmed an investigation was going on at that scene, but provided few other details.

Mr. Soros, a billionaire who bankrolls numerous progressive and liberal activist groups, has become a favorite rhetorical target of conservatives in the last several years.

There was neither an immediate claim of responsibility nor any indication that Mr. Soros was at home at the time.
