Donald Trump on alleged Russia document: ‘Are we living in Nazi Germany?’

President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday forcefully pushed back on reports of an unverified intelligence document containing allegations that Russians had compromising personal and financial information on him.

“Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to ‘leak’ into the public. One last shot at me.Are we living in Nazi Germany?” Mr. Trump tweeted.

“I win an election easily, a great ‘movement’ is verified, and crooked opponents try to belittle our victory with FAKE NEWS. A sorry state!” the president-elect also tweeted.

Intelligence officials included the allegations in a two-page appendix to a report on Russian interference in the election presented to Mr. Trump and to President Obama last week, CNN reported Tuesday.

In an appearance on NBC’s “Today” program Wednesday, incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus dismissed the document as “offensive crap that we shouldn’t even be talking about.”
