Donald Trump gives North Korea a very serious warning

President Donald Trump continued to throw gas on on the fire that is the U.S.-North Korea relationship over the weekend when he issued an an ominous warning to the isolated country.

Trump took to Twitter late Saturday, amid his crusade against the NFL, to respond to North Korea’s foreign minister, Ri Yong Ho, who said that bombing the U.S. mainland was “inevitable.”

Ri was in New York at the United Nations General Assembly when he delivered a rebuttal to Trump’s message about Kim Jon-un, or “Rocket Man,” and his threat to “totally destroy” North Korea if forced to defend itself.

“Due to his lacking of basic common knowledge and proper sentiment, he tried to insult the supreme dignity of my country by referring it to as a rocket,” Ri said, referring to Trump’s new penchant for referring to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as “Rocket Man.” “By doing so, however, he committed an irreversible mistake of making our rockets’ visit to the entire U.S. mainland inevitable all the more.”

Ri referred to Trump as “a mentally deranged person full of megalomania and complacency” in Saturday’s address.

For the past few months, Trump and North Korea have launched verbal insults back and forth at each other. The country has fired three intercontinental ballistic missiles over Japan and into the Pacific Ocean in the past month, according to the Associated Press, as the country continues to develop its nuclear weapons program.
