2018 Pennsylvania special election results

LIVE results last updated

Democrat Conor Lamb faces GOP state Rep. Rick Saccone in a special election on Tuesday in Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District, which covers much of southwestern Pennsylvania, including some Pittsburgh suburbs. The Republican-leaning seat was vacated last year by former Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Pa.), who resigned amid a sex scandal. Lamb, an attorney and former prosecutor, has touted his bipartisan credentials in the race. President Donald Trump has endorsed Saccone, and the GOP nominee has pledged to support Trump’s agenda in Washington. The winner of Tuesday’s election will serve until the new Congress begins in January 2019. Polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
